The Deputy Heads of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Caner and Dr. Veli Gökhan DEMİR, visited Betek Paint and Chemical Industry Inc.
During the visit, discussions were held with company officials regarding the development of university-industry collaboration. The meeting specifically addressed opportunities for cooperation within the scope of the Vocational Training Program (7+1), including students receiving practical training within the company, supporting internships and professional development processes, and enabling students to gain sectoral experience.
In addition, discussions were held regarding potential R&D and project collaborations between the Mechanical Engineering Department and the company, academic support for technical problems, joint project development, conducting undergraduate graduation projects in line with sector needs, and other activities that can be carried out within the scope of university-industry cooperation.
The meetings held during the visit were assessed as productive in terms of strengthening university-industry collaboration and increasing our students' sectoral knowledge and experience.
